I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
